GAMIFICATION IN SUSTAINABILITY AWARD FINALISTS!

Celebration

The time has come for us to announce our finalists for the Gamification in Sustainability Award! We had some fantastic entries to the award and were completely blown away by the creativity and determination of all entrants and their passion for creating a more sustainable planet.

So… we won’t keep you in suspense any longer!

The Gamification Awards Gamification in Sustainability Finalists

  • PlasticTwist by NuroGames GmbH - PlasticTwist launched in January 2018, targeting plastics reuse and upcycling by building an ecosystem around a plastic-waste-as-an-asset platform.
  • EnterAfrica - The Enter Africa game involves solving tasks in the form of missions to educate its users on sanitation and e-waste problems in Agbogbloshie, the largest e-waste dump in Africa. 250,000 tonnes of e-waste are brought to this location annually to be used as scrap. The majority of this e-waste is burnt, and the toxic gases released destroy, pollute and degrade the atmosphere.
  • Ecologic - A board game where each player is a director of mining and oil company. Players need to increase their income by setting up new mines and oil pumps, but each industry object decreases the environmental levels. This is when the EcoInitiatives come in and the winner is the player with the best money/environmental values.

We have five judges working across three different continents working hard to submit their scores ready to announce the winner. Keep your eyes peeled for our winner announcement coming soon!

In the meantime, get involved and don’t miss our all-important next category announcements and follow us on social media @GamifyAwards.

HUGE congratulations to our three finalists and GOOD LUCK!
