We've been very busy here at The Gamification Awards and we were so excited to announce the winners of the very first Gamification in Sustainability Award! After all the excitement had passed, we decided to catch up with our finalists and find out what it meant to them to be announced as finalists and what this meant for their gamified platforms.
Last week we caught up with EnterAfrica! The Enter Africa game involves solving tasks in the form of missions to educate its users on sanitation and e-waste problems in Agbogbloshie, the largest e-waste dump in Africa. 250,000 tonnes of e-waste are brought to this location annually to be used as scrap. The majority of this e-waste is burnt, and the toxic gases released destroy, pollute and degrade the atmosphere. At The Gamification Awards we love to catch up with our finalists and think its great to see how they plan to develop their platforms in the future and how they hope that becoming a finalist will help them.
